Go fly a kite!
On the 23rd of October this year Cape Town held it's annual International Kite Festival - the 17th of it's kind!
We decided to make the best of our beautiful Mother City's windy weather and join in on the festivities. But first things first, Jethro needs a kite!
We used the following website to make an easy, pretty straightforward kinda kite: http://www.stormthecastle.com/how-to-make-a/kite/make-a-traditional-kite.htm
Here is Jethro patching it together:
Now for the flight test:
Well, at least two of the Garner boys; Micah preferred getting back into his pram and watching the action from there:
Some R and R:
Back to the fun and games! Jethro trying out a spiderman kite, and he did pretty well too!
Flying together with Daddy :)
The handsome guy in my life, giving it wings (like he always does):
Micah was quite entertained the whole time and enjoyed the show, but he still preferred the comfort of his pram:
Mommy having a go:
A sucker got Micah out of his pram :)
But not for long - lol!
My two high flyers:
Ton looking modest after quite the performance:
And the cherry on the cake, for Jethro, and we were priviledged enough to witness his facial expression:
Wait for it...
Wait for it...
Tada:
And that is all folks! Time for a cuppa and then bed :) Hope you enjoyed the news from our little corner!

The best part, the joy on his little face:
And the moment of truth arrives! Joining the high flyers, quite literally!
